Jack learns about blue-banded bees and helps Nanna create the perfect garden for them.

When Jack discovers that Australia's bees are not just yellow and black, but sometimes blue, he becomes determined to find them. With help from his Nanna, Jack creates the perfect garden for blue-banded bees by planting native flowers and building a bee home. Learning all he can about these fascinating insects, Jack also discovers that seeing them is going to take some patience, too! Bees are Blue is a fun, educational story about the importance of bees, the ways in which we can provide for them, and features delightfully rich illustrations.

About the Illustrator

Sara Fandrey is an Italian/German children's book illustrator living in Portugal. Influenced by her love for all things vintage, she prefers soft, desaturated colour palettes. Away from drawing, she is running after (or reading to) her two children.
